There’s a good chance you may have some money waiting for you from a class action settlement that took place in 2022. But before you get too excited, there are a few things you need to know. It seems like every day we hear about yet another class action settlement. But do you ever wonder if you’re entitled to any of that money? Here are 6 class action settlements you should look into!

Apple iCloud Class Action Settlement

There were several Apple customers that sued Apple in 2019 claiming a contract breach. They claimed that Apple outsourced their cloud storage to a 3rd party service. This was against their terms of service.

Apple did not admit to any wrongdoing, but it agreed to pay a $14.8 million settlement. If you paid for an iCloud Plus subscription from Sept. 16 through Jan. 31st, you qualify for the Apple settlement. If you had a subscription for the entire year, you could get up to $50.

The opting-out period for the settlement ended on May 23, 2022.

However, if you qualified for this settlement, you did not have to do anything. You’ll get a payment if you get an email from Apple saying you were a class member. So be sure to check your email!

Enfamil Settlement

If you purchased Enfamil infant formula between May 3, 2013, and Sept. 30, 2018, you could get a check from the company. Each claimant can get up to $3 for each purchased product up to 15 products.

The Settlement resolves a class action lawsuit that claimed Mead Johnson & Company deceptively advertised its Enfamil products as being “The #1 Infant Formula Brand Chosen By Moms.”

Mead Johnson denies all the claims but has agreed to settle the case to avoid further litigation. If you’re a Class Member, you should have received a notice in the mail with instructions on how to file a claim form by the deadline of November 29, 2022.

Facebook Internet Tracking Litigation

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit about whether Facebook tracked users’ internet activity after they logged out of the site.

Facebook denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case. Class Members can get $20 each if they submit a valid claim form by September  22, 2022.

Capital One Data Breach Settlement

Class Members of the Capital One data breach settlement will receive two years of free credit monitoring or a cash payment of $125.

In addition, Capital One will pay $80 million to settle claims that it failed to protect the personal information of millions of people. The settlement will also cover up to $90 million in legal fees and expenses.

If you had a Capital One credit card or a business account with the bank in the United States between March 12, 2005 and July 23, 2019, you may be affected by the data breach. To see if you’re eligible for the settlement, check here. The deadline to file a claim is September 30, 2022.

Weed Kill Class Action Settlement

Do you use Roundup weed killer? If so, you may be eligible for a payment from the $850 million class action settlement. The settlement resolves claims that Monsanto, the maker of Roundup, falsely advertised that Roundup was “safer than table salt” and “practically non-toxic” to mammals, birds, and fish.

Monsanto denies the claims but has agreed to settle the case. Class Members can get up to $300 for each purchase of Roundup products. The deadline to file a claim is October 19, 2022.

American Banking Systems

If you received a robocall from American Banking Systems between October 27, 2010 and March 7, 2019, you may be eligible for a payment from the $3.75 million class action settlement.

The Settlement resolves claims that the company made robocalls to people on the National Do Not Call Registry. American Banking Systems denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case.

Class Members can get up to $500 for each robocall they received, with a maximum of five calls per person ($5,000). The deadline to file a claim is September 6, 2022. You can find more information and file a claim here.

Dental Care Alliance

If you went to a Dental Care Alliance-affiliated dental practice between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2016, you may be eligible for a payment from the $23 million class action settlement.

The Settlement resolves claims that the company submitted false claims to Medicaid for dental services. Dental Care Alliance denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case.

Class Members can get a cash payment of up to $175. The deadline to file a claim is August 25, 2022. You can find more information and file a claim here.

Zignature Pet Food Class Action Settlement

If you purchased Zignature pet food between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2019, you may be eligible for a refund from the $2.5 million class action settlement.

The Settlement resolves claims that the company falsely advertised that its pet food was “nutritionally complete and balanced” when it actually was not. Zignature denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case.

Class Members can get a full refund of the purchase price, up to $60. The deadline to file a claim is December 21, 2022. You can find more information and file a claim here.
